May Sebastian is the Manager of People Operations at Akira and is responsible for Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. She has over 10 years of progressive HR experience, to include broad human resources operational support, large system integrations based on acquisitions, management of HR technology and data analytics.
Prior to Akira, she was responsible for leading automation and process improvement initiatives for Human Resource Operations supporting federal government and commercial customers in the Washington, D.C. Area.
May holds a Master of Management degree with concentration on Information Systems from University of Maryland Global Campus, an MBA from De La Salle University-Manila and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from University of the Philippines. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
