Craig Fitzpatrick in the Chief Innovation Officer of Akira Technologies. He brings more than 25 years of experience in software and hardware development and systems integration.
Craig re-joins Akira after serving as Chief Operating Officer from 2012 to 2017, where he worked closely with the founding team to scale the company from 5 employees and $4.5m annual revenue to over $110m in annual revenue. Craig has also worked in management roles at Lockheed Martin; Maerks; Deloitte; Booz Allen Hamilton; and most recently SandboxAQ, where he was a key member of the leadership team that spun an AI and Quantum technology company out of Google X.
In his role as Chief Innovation Officer, Craig leads our Akira Labs team, as well as works with current and prospective customers to drive innovation through all Akira programs. Craig’s innovation priorities include novel applications of quantitative AI; practical applications for quantum technologies; and unique applications for data engineering.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the US Air Force Academy; a Master’s Degree from Saint Louis University; and multiple postgraduate certifications from MIT. He is a Senior Technology Fellow at the Center for Advanced Defense Studies, where his work focuses on supporting AI applications to disrupt illicit networks globally.
Craig lives in Washington, DC with his wife Jenny and their son Pace. He is a retired member or the US National Blind Hockey Team and is active in charity work supporting disabled athletes.
