In this project Akira developed a highly-scalable platform for conducting surveys. We leveraged MongoDB NoSQL architecture to simplify storage of different types of surveys. The backend processing is done in Hadoop cluster and the entire system is deployed to the AWS. We paid extra attention to the performance and stress testing ensuring that the resulting platform can guarantee ultimate performance.
In this project Akira deployed an opensource ownCloud solution offering secure scalable storage with capabilities similar to Google Drive but at fraction of a commercial solution cost. This approach also ensures that your data is stored in a secure location, protected to best standards in your organization. ownCloud also works with AWS, GovCloud and other cloud facilities.
Jive is a great platform for enterprise social collaboration and Akira used it in multiple projects. In our experience we found that despite its overall rich functionality it lacks tools for building new communities quickly and effectively. In order to address this problem we have developed a web-based tool allowing invitations of users in bulk, tracking the invitation campaign progress and more.
