Srinivas Chennamaraja is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Akira responsible for the strategy and growth. During the last decade he has built and grown the company with a strong focus on meeting and advancing customer missions. With over 20 years of progressive experience in product design, product management, and consulting for start-ups, global corporations, and federal government agencies, Srini has provided Akira with strong executive leadership. Prior to founding Akira, he worked for various seed stage startup companies in the product development/management roles as well as consulting to F500 companies. Srini graduated with an MBA degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
Uday Kumar is the Chief Digital Officer at Akira where he oversees all data and cloud services, strategic partnership, and program delivery activities across the firm. He has more than 20 years of management and leadership experience in all facets of product management, technology planning, agile delivery, and operational excellence. Prior to joining Akira, Uday held product leadership positions at Capital One and College Board. Uday holds an MBA from Duke University, a Master’s degree in Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from National Institute of Technology (India). He is an Agile Certified Practitioner, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Certified Scrum Master, Project Management Professional, and Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Uday volunteers his time as a mentor with the Google Developer Experts program and as an advisor to the Career and Technical Education committee of Loudon County Public Schools.
Eric Sharpsten is the Chief Technology Officer of Akira where he is responsible for focusing on disruptive technologies, lean software development, infrastructure & cloud, and scalable architectures delivered securely with a mission-first mentality. Mr. Sharpstein has extensive experience matching existing and emerging technology capabilities and trends to accomplish business objectives. Prior experience in the design and development of real-time mission critical systems for the defense and intelligence sectors has established the skills, insight, and discipline required to support large complex programs and projects to completion. He previously worked at Lockheed Martin’s IS&GS Federal Health division as the Chief Technology officer, responsible for providing technology oversight for the CMS Services IT infrastructure including support for three data centers, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and endpoint computing services across the US and Puerto Rico. Eric holds an MBA from Le Moyne College and BA in Computer Science from State University of New York (SUNY).
Fabian Morrison has over 30+ years of progressive and professional management and leadership experience in Accounting and Government Contracting. His experience spans small to large companies as well as consultant firms. He holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from Strayer University. He is the Director of Finance and Accounting at Akira and is responsible for managing daily accounting operations. He oversees financial planning, analysis, and developing strategic plans. He manages daily accounting operations and coordinates all audits (contractual, FY audits, bank audits, Governmental audits etc.). Additionally, he is responsible for all Microsoft Dynamics NAV system administration. He serves as an advisor to management regarding potential risks and corrective actions, as well as continually working to identify areas for growth financially as well as improvements in indirect rates.
Arlette Johnson is the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness to advance the company’s vision and provide guidance to management teams in HR concerns; directing staff on HR functions, and developing, interpreting and implementing policies and procedures in accordance with federal and state laws. She is a senior level executive with over 25 years’ experience in Human Resources and possesses a strong background in providing corporate-level support with leadership and management of company’s HR functions for government and commercial businesses. As part of the Akira management team, she has developed and implemented corporate Human Resource strategies and programs to include organizational development, recruitment and staffing, employment law, performance management, employee relations, training and compensation and benefits. Ms. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral and Social Science from Howard University.
