Akira Tech is an authorized Value Added Reseller (VAR) and master aggregator for our vast vendor community, comprising of more than 75 OEMs. In addition, through our secured and long-standing relationships with large distributors like Ingram Micro, Synnex and Tech Data, Akira Tech has the ability to supply USCIS with hardware and software products. These products are manufactured by more than 1,000 OEMs ranging from some of the largest hardware and software manufacturers like Dell, HP, Oracle, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe and EMC. Furthermore, Akira Tech’s direct and indirect distribution channel partners enhance our own technology supplier competencies with additional resources, financial strength, production and throughput capacity and overall client management and support.
Akira Tech offers a variety of value-added services through our services division – “Akira Tech Care” – staffing seasoned and OEM-certified software and hardware engineers, system analysts and engineers, information assurance analysts, product specialists, network engineers, help desk specialists, database and storage specialists that have an average of 10 years of experience serving various federal agencies. Our professionals support the infrastructure by providing a wide variety of value-added services like project management, planning and designing, system and server administration, repair and maintenance, remote support and management, training infrastructure assessment, software application support, cabling, data center support, 24/7/365 technical and help desk support. We also provide services to address individual client needs such as custom built-to-order desktops and servers and imaging and lifecycle management services. Our robust services organization provides government agencies with additional value-added pre-sales and post-sales support capabilities beyond the original product sale.
Akira Tech has a dedicated team of Information Technology (IT) professionals in-house that are solely tasked with capturing, researching and evaluating emerging technology products and services while working in close collaboration with our OEM supply chain partners. The fact that we have over 1,000 large, small and diverse OEMs in terms of their products has enabled and will continue to enable our “Emerging Technology” team to identify and offer these emerging technologies to USCIS before they become trends, thereby ensuring that USCIS is at the cutting edge of technology continually.
Akira has performed on FSII since September 17, 2012. As of December 13, 2013, out of the 41 companies with FSII contracts, Akira has the third highest aggregate total value of delivery orders issued under FSII, above C&C International Computer, Wildflower International, Universal Understanding, Blue Tech Inc., Government Acquisitions, and 33 other First Source II firms.
