Job Title: Data Architect


Looking for a full-time Data Architect who has experience in using agile development methodology across various domains in the organization. He or she will be part of a dynamic team supporting projects which are being expanded and integrated. Successful candidate possesses a strong data modelling skill and has an initiative for learning and an independent work ethic. Expected to have good technical acumen and be highly motivated. You will be part of an agile team where communication skills and the ability to conform to established design standards and development practices are key for successful delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively involved in requirements understanding, analysis, and design

• Comply with standards and guidelines related to design and development of enterprise logical data model and data dictionary

• Develop maintainable, reusable, and reliable domain object model related to Schema definitions

• Work closely with enterprise and lead architects to accomplish the goal

• Implement best practices for data model development and maintenance

• Identify problems in existing design and definition

• Apply knowledge of software development life cycle and agile approach

• Plan and provide estimate to complete the work

• Multi-task and manage time to deliver across various domains

• Work with the client, partners, and management in requirements gathering, analysis, and design process

• Improve job-related knowledge by studying the latest design and development methodologies including best practices pertaining to data modelling


• Excellent knowledge of data modelling using Erwin (5+ years)

• Experience in developing domain object model using Enterprise Architect (3+ years)

• Self-motivated and driven to succeed

• Willingness to learn and teach, share knowledge with the team

• Great personality, good sense of humor, and teamwork skills

• Proactive (Prevent problems instead of firefighting) approach to design and development

• Responsible, accurate, and pays attention to the details

• Agile development experience (2+ years)

• Good presentation and oral & written communication skills in English


• Work experience in the FDA, ideally FDA ORA (1+ years)

• Technical writing or documentation skills

• Active clearance

Type of position: Full Time; Contractor;

Location: Could work remotely; Once a week onsite presence in Maryland;
